GTA VI Release Date

Release date

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar moved it off a Fall 2025 window. As of August 2026, that date still stands.

Rockstar has not published an exact unlock time. Treat midnight on the 19th as the usual console pattern, not a promise. Digital preload starts November 12, 2026.

Platforms

Launch is PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version. There is no confirmed PC date.

Standard edition is $79.99. Ultimate Edition is $99.99.

Physical copies ship a download code. They are available from November 12 for preload.

Single-player story at launch. Vice City and the state of Leonida. Lucia and Jason.

Trailer 1, Trailer 2, and an Extended Look landed on August 27, 2026.
